Senior Data Engineer (AI/ML & Azure)

We’re looking for a Data Engineer with a strong AI/ML focus to join a data engineering team supporting modern data and AI initiatives. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Python, Azure Data Factory, Azure Machine Learning, and Microsoft Fabric, along with a solid understanding of data engineering and AI/ML workflows. This is a client-facing role, so strong communication and the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, practical solutions are essential. The role is well suited for someone who enjoys working across data engineering and emerging AI technologies in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data engineering solutions.
• Develop and manage data workflows using Python and Azure Data Factory.
• Work with Microsoft Fabric to build and support modern data solutions.
• Leverage Azure Machine Learning and related technologies to support AI/ML initiatives.
• Prepare, transform, integrate, and optimize data for analytics, machine learning, and AI use cases.
• Collaborate directly with clients to understand requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Communicate technical concepts, architecture decisions, and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver data and AI solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve data pipelines, processes, and AI/ML workflows.

Core Requirements

• Strong professional experience in Data Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory.
• Experience with Azure Machine Learning or similar Azure AI/ML services.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric.
• Solid understanding of data pipelines, data transformation, and modern data architectures.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and workflows.
• Experience working directly with clients or other external stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.

• Experience productionizing machine learning models or AI solutions.
• Experience with additional Azure data and AI services.
• Experience with LLMs, Generative AI, or AI-powered applications.
