Pork Partners, Ohio’s largest pork producer, is currently seeking highly motivated, college students who have a passion for agriculture and a desire to work in the pork industry! We are offering a 12-week paid internship for students to who are interested in working directly with our swine production, veterinarian and nutrition teams.
About the Internship:
- You learn and master skills needed to perform at a high level
- You conduct research trials related to medical care, nutrition and/or production techniques
- You gain advanced training in both farrowing and gestation departments
- You see first-hand how a large-scale sow farm is managed
- You get access to our training and development programs
- You will be assigned a mentor to assist you during the entire internship
- You assist Team Members at all levels with day-to-day operations
Who You Are:
- Must have a High school diploma/GED. Enrollment in an undergraduate program studying Animal Science, Animal Production or any other Agricultural degree preferred
- Committed to ensuring the best practices of animal care are performed daily
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds consecutively
- Have a passion for agriculture and swine production
- Highly motivated, self-starter with excellent interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to manage time and projects
- Farm experience preferred, but not required
