KAST is looking for Senior Backend Engineers to build scalable payment APIs and reliable provider-routing systems.

You will design and build Go microservices and APIs for domestic payment rails. You will implement provider fallback and routing logic, support fraud and KYC integrations, create technical documentation, and improve system reliability, security, observability, and backend engineering practices.

Responsibilities
  • Design and build production-grade Go backend microservices and APIs
  • Implement provider fallback and routing logic with safe rollout and rollback paths
  • Support fraud detection and onboarding or KYC integrations
  • Create functional specifications, technical design documents, and delivery estimates
  • Design reliable, auditable, secure, and observable systems
  • Provide code review, technical guidance, and mentorship
Requirements
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • Backend engineering expertise with Go
  • Experience building production-grade APIs and distributed systems
  • Experience with event-driven or webhook-based third-party integrations
  • Knowledge of reliability, security, and auditability for transactional systems
  • Ability to reverse-engineer flows, define interfaces, and manage dependencies
  • Experience collaborating with product, compliance, operations, and external partners
  • Experience with AWS, containers, relational databases, and streaming or messaging
