The successful candidate will be a Microbiologist tasked with performing microbiological analyses, supporting day-to-day laboratory operations, and ensuring that all activities comply with established quality and regulatory standards.
The position involves analysing samples, carrying out microbial testing, keeping accurate records of laboratory work, and following Good Laboratory Practices together with relevant safety procedures.
This role is essential to safeguarding the accuracy and reliability of laboratory results, supporting quality assurance efforts, and helping the company meet its operational and quality objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare culture samples of bacteria, fungi, and other microorganisms for analysis.
- Perform isolation, identification, and enumeration of microorganisms present in environmental samples, food, drugs, chemicals, and agro-allied samples.
- Provide recommendations and propose practical solutions for improvement.
- Conduct environmental monitoring activities.
- Apply Good Laboratory Practice guidelines strictly within the microbiology laboratory.
- Draft work instructions, standard operating procedures, and other related documentation.
- Operate in line with ISO 17025:2017 laboratory guidelines.
- Uphold the laboratory's impartiality and confidentiality policies.
- Maintain strong documentation and housekeeping practices.
- Confirm that procedures are validated or verified before being put to use.
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
- Take part in risk assessment, review, and implementation.
- Participate in audit activities.
- Carry out any other duties as assigned.
