Project Manager/Contract Superintendent | Adelaide, SA

Combine project management and Contract Superintendent responsibilities while taking ownership of meaningful projects and further developing your commercial and stakeholder management skills.

The Opportunity:

We're seeking an experienced Project Manager/Contract Superintendent to play a key role in the successful delivery of civil, infrastructure and development projects across South Australia.

Working closely with clients, contractors, consultants, councils and project stakeholders, you'll lead project delivery while providing Superintendent services throughout the project lifecycle. You'll balance commercial, technical and stakeholder priorities to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with contractual requirements.

This is an opportunity for a relationship-focused professional who enjoys bringing people together to achieve successful outcomes. Combining project leadership, contract administration, stakeholder engagement and site oversight, you'll be at the centre of project delivery, helping navigate challenges, manage risks and drive projects through to successful completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of civil, infrastructure and development projects from planning through to completion.

  • Perform Superintendent duties, including the assessment of variations, claims, extensions of time and contractual obligations.

  • Manage project performance across scope, programme, budget, quality and risk.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients and key project stakeholders.

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with contractors, consultants, councils and project teams.

  • Facilitate project meetings and coordinate stakeholders to support timely decision-making and project outcomes.

  • Undertake site inspections and surveillance activities to monitor construction progress and verify completed works.

  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with contractual, quality and safety requirements.

  • Identify, manage and mitigate project risks while proactively resolving issues and removing barriers to delivery.

  • Provide commercial and contractual advice to clients and project teams.

  • Prepare and review project reporting, recommendations and project documentation.

What You’ll Bring:

You are an experienced project management professional with strong commercial acumen and a practical understanding of project delivery. You can confidently manage competing priorities, navigate complex stakeholder environments and balance contractual obligations with successful project outcomes.

  • Experience in a Project Manager, Contract Superintendent, Senior Contract Administrator or similar role.

  • Demonstrated experience delivering civil, infrastructure, construction or development projects.

  • Strong understanding of contract administration and Superintendent responsibilities.

  • Experience administering construction contracts, including variations, claims and extensions of time.

  • Proven ability to manage project scope, programme, budget, risk and quality outcomes.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across diverse groups.

  • Experience working collaboratively with contractors, subcontractors, consultants and client representatives.

  • Exposure to local government and council-delivered projects will be highly regarded.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.

  • Sound commercial judgement and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.

  • Australian Citizenship required for eligibility for defence clearance.
