Kepak St. Merryn in Merthyr Tydfil has combined beef and lamb processing and packing facilities. We offer beef and lamb products ranging from retail ready cuts for butchers’ counters to branded packaged meat, all as part of our service; raised on open pastures, sourced from local farmers and hand-selected by our master butchers, we produce beef and lamb products with integrity and unmatched quality assurance.
We are looking for candidates who can work in a cold environment and are happy to be packing our raw meat.
This is a permanent, full time position working 3 days on/3 days off - 6.00am to 6.30pm in our Retail Packing Department. You will be earning £12.90 per hour.

Requirements
As part of our Retail Team your daily tasks will include:
- Check the cuts of meat to ensure that they are in line with specifications
- Arrange meat in packaging, complying with display requirements
- Ensure that the pack weight is correct
- Reject any items including packaging and meats that look to be outside of our quality specifications
- To follow clear operational processes and customer specifications to provide consistently high quality products
- Understanding how your role impacts on the effective operation of the line and to identify improvements to the ways of working;
- Adherence to Health and Safety rules and procedures, including correct wearing of issued PPE
