About this Role
The Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant during assigned shifts, ensuring exceptional guest service and maintaining the highest standards of food and beverage service. The role supervises and supports the restaurant team, ensures adherence to company standards, and assists management in achieving operational and financial objectives while delivering memorable guest experiences.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts.
Ensure guests are greeted, seated, and attended to promptly and professionally.
Monitor service standards and ensure excellent guest satisfaction at all times.
Handle guest complaints and service recovery in a professional and timely manner.
Conduct daily briefings and communicate operational updates to team members.
Supervise, motivate, coach, and support waiters, hosts, and other restaurant employees.
Monitor employee grooming, punctuality, and adherence to company standards.
Ensure restaurant tables are properly set and maintained according to outlet standards.
Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient food service.
Monitor reservations, guest preferences, allergies, and special requests.
Assist with scheduling and allocation of duties during service.
Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the restaurant, service stations, and equipment.
Monitor stock levels of operating equipment, linen, and supplies and report shortages.
Ensure accurate billing, cash handling, and payment procedures.
Assist in training and onboarding new employees.
Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, health and safety, and company policies.
Support the Restaurant Manager with administrative tasks and operational reporting.
Promote menu items, special offers, and upselling opportunities to maximize revenue.
Attend departmental meetings and training sessions as required.
Perform any other duties assigned by management.
About You
Higher School Certificate (HSC) or equivalent.
Diploma in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage, or related field is an advantage.
Valid Food Handler's Certificate
Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant, hotel, or resort environment.
