The Director of Information Technology manages internal teams and external service providers responsible for IT service management, enterprise systems, foundational infrastructure, supplier-led delivery, and execution of Kestra’s future state technology roadmap. The role owns key platforms including ERP, CRM, QMS, PLM, field service, integrations, and infrastructure, and serves as Kestra IT’s primary relationship owner for strategic ITSM and managed services suppliers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Leadership and Team Management

  • Manage assigned IT Team Members and suppliers, including workload direction, coaching, performance feedback, resource allocation, prioritization, and escalation management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leadership peers to align IT priorities, resources, and delivery commitments with business needs, while representing IT risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs.

Enterprise Systems and Platforms

  • Partner with business owners to establish intake, prioritization, and change governance for enterprise system requests.
  • Oversee the evaluation, design, development, implementation, operation, and maintenance of enterprise systems.
  • Own incident, problem, and request management processes for enterprise systems and IT services, ensuring timely triage, root-cause analysis, resolution tracking, stakeholder communication, and escalation when required.
  • Execute the enterprise integration strategy, including integration patterns, APIs, middleware, and data flows.

Vendor and Managed Services Governance

  • Support sourcing, vendor evaluation, contracts, statements of work, and roadmap decisions for IT services and platforms.
  • Manage vendor governance, service level agreements, performance metrics, escalation paths, continuous improvement plans, resource planning, capacity planning, and overall service quality.
  • Monitor strategic supplier spend, invoice accuracy, and total cost of service against budget; recommend scope, staffing, and commercial adjustments to the CIO.

Operational Governance and Reporting Cadence

  • Own daily and weekly IT operational governance, including service performance, project delivery, budget

status, open risks, pending decisions, supplier follow-up, and cross-functional coordination.

  • Provide monthly reporting and escalate material risks, budget exceptions, strategic decisions, or

unresolved cross-functional tradeoffs to the CIO.

Compliance, Security, and Risk

  • Direct the configuration and management of enterprise systems to support data retention, security,

business continuity, disaster recovery planning and testing, and information risk management

requirements.

  • Partner with the Director of Information Security and Compliance to ensure enterprise systems,

infrastructure, suppliers, and technology changes meet Kestra’s security, privacy, audit, validation, and

risk management requirements.

  • Ensure AI, automation, and low-code solutions follow Kestra requirements for security, privacy,

validation, data handling, and regulatory compliance.

Financial and Operational Management

  • Own routine IT budget management, spend governance, invoice review, forecasting, license optimization,

vendor cost control, and routine operational issue resolution within approved threshold.

optimization, and vendor cost control; escalate material budget risks and tradeoffs to the CIO.

  • Resolve routine operational, supplier, staffing, and prioritization issues within approved plans and

governance thresholds.

  • Perform other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related

field, or equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive IT leadership experience.
  • Experience owning strategic managed service provider relationships, including governance cadence,

service level and performance management, escalation handling, and financial oversight.

  • Experience leading outsourced or co-managed IT delivery models across enterprise systems, integrations,

infrastructure, and support services in a regulated environment.

  • Experience across ERP, CRM, field service, quality, PLM, integration, and infrastructure, such as Microsoft

Dynamics 365, Salesforce, Azure, and Power Platform.

  • Experience in regulated medical device, life sciences, or healthcare environments, including validated

systems, computer system validation, and software assurance practices.

Preferred:

  • Experience in regulated medical device, life sciences, or healthcare environments, including validated

systems, computer system validation, and software assurance practices.

  • Experience governing AI, automation, and low-code adoption, and applying modern integration and API

management practices.

  • Exposure to and understanding of ITIL and PMI frameworks.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directly supervise several IT team members including but not limited to conducting performance reviews,

providing feedback, and helping to set professional development goals.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Indoor open office environment
  • Minimal noise volume typical to an office environment
  • Extended/overtime hours when needed
  • Kestra manufactures and provides life-saving products regulated by the Federal Food and Drug

Administration and under contract with Medicare. Kestra maintains a drug free workplace and testing is

a condition of employment.
