Internship Information Technologist

• Assist the IT team in providing daily technical support to employees. 
• Assist with hardware setup, installation, maintenance and troubleshooting for computers, laptops, printers and other IT equipment. 
• Assist in setting up and configuring desktops, laptops, monitors, printers and other peripherals. 
• Provide basic support for network connectivity, including LAN, Wi-Fi and other network-related issues. 
• Assist in troubleshooting hardware, software, network and system-related issues. 
• Assist with user account setup, access permissions and basic IT configuration. 
• Perform basic software installation, updates and configuration according to company requirements. 
• Assist in monitoring and maintaining IT equipment and inventory records. 
• Assist with IT asset tagging, tracking and documentation. 
• Support preventive maintenance and routine checks of IT equipment. 
• Assist in troubleshooting printer, scanner and other office equipment. 
• Maintain proper records of IT incidents, troubleshooting activities and equipment status. 
• Assist in ensuring IT security practices and company IT procedures are followed. 
• Provide support for IT-related activities, projects and system implementations. 
• Perform other IT-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of computer hardware and troubleshooting. 
• Basic understanding of networking concepts, such as LAN, Wi-Fi, IP address and connectivity. 
• Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office. 
• Familiarity with PC assembly, hardware installation and peripheral devices is an advantage. 
• Basic understanding of IT security and data protection. 
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. 
• Good communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Able to work independently and as part of a team. 
• Willing to learn and take on new IT-related tasks. 
• Diploma/Degree student in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Network Engineering or related field.
