INTERNAL - FQA Project Manager

The Project Manager is responsible for initiating, planning, managing and delivering projects in line with client requirements and agreed scope, schedule, quality and budget. The role oversees the operational, financial and administrative management of assigned Functionality QA projects, ensuring successful delivery, client satisfaction and achievement of project financial objectives.

The Project Manager is a key client interface and provides leadership across project teams, coordinating resources, managing risks and quality, monitoring commercial performance and driving continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, manage and integrate projects into the wider workflow, proactively communicating requirements, priorities and risks.
• Lead project leadership meetings and establish clear project briefs, objectives and delivery plans.
• Ensure projects are successfully launched, executed and completed in line with client expectations.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders, managing communication, expectations and escalations.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing effective solutions and professional challenge where required.
• Establish, manage and maintain project budgets, forecasts, spend reporting and financial documentation.
• Monitor project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and realization, taking corrective action where required.
• Ensure timely and accurate billing and financial reporting.
• Coordinate resource planning and scheduling in partnership with the Resource Planning Team.
• Lead teams to achieve client objectives while maintaining high standards of delivery and professionalism.
• Communicate client feedback and translate requirements into clear, actionable tasks for internal teams.
• Proactively identify challenges, risks and opportunities, developing and implementing effective solutions.
• Provide regular performance feedback to FQA Leads and implement appropriate process or performance improvements.
• Support performance management and disciplinary processes in partnership with HR.
• Act as the primary point of contact for operational queries raised by FQA Leads.
• Support the professional development of FQA Leads in partnership with the wider FQA PM team.
• Ensure project deliverables meet agreed client requirements and quality standards.
• Develop, review and maintain QA policies and processes.
• Ensure project documentation is complete, accurate, current and appropriately maintained.
• Lead post-project reviews and ensure lessons learned are captured and implemented.
• Maintain oversight of project quality, risk and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Perform other duties reasonably assigned by management.

Requirements

Technical Skills

• Relevant experience in Project Management or a similar role within the video games or related industry.
• Strong understanding of project lifecycles, game development and Functionality QA processes.
• Experience developing QA strategies and test plans, with an understanding of risk management within QA.
• Strong understanding of project financial management, including budgets, forecasting, billing, margins and profitability.
• Experience using data and management information to support decision-making.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Teams.
• Experience with mobile, PC, console, portable console and VR hardware and software.
• Familiarity with defect tracking, test case management, Agile and project management tools such as JIRA, TestRail, SharePoint and Confluence.
• Familiarity with platform-specific testing tools, including Steam, Xbox and PlayStation development environments.
