Manual QA Engineer

We are looking for a highly analytical Manual QA Engineer with 3-6 years of experience in testing modern web applications. The ideal candidate should have prior experience working in product-based companies, possess excellent product and business understanding, and be a quick learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to ensure every release meets the highest quality standards while delivering an exceptional user experience.

Responsibilities:

• Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive manual test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, smoke, and end-to-end testing.
• Identify, document, prioritise, and track defects using bug tracking tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and validate new features.
• Conduct root cause analysis and provide detailed bug reports with reproduction steps.
• Validate UI/UX, business workflows, APIs (basic validation), and cross-browser compatibility.
• Work closely with developers during defect resolution and release cycles.
• Ensure product quality throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Participate actively in sprint planning, grooming sessions, and release validation.

Requirements:

• 3-6 years of hands-on experience in manual software testing.
• Experience working in product-based companies.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Excellent knowledge of functional testing, regression testing, smoke and sanity testing, exploratory testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Hands-on experience with bug tracking and test management tools such as JIRA, Linear, and TestRail (or similar tools).
• Strong familiarity with browser developer tools for debugging UI issues, inspecting network requests, and identifying client-side issues.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Quick learner with the ability to understand complex products rapidly.
• Strong product thinking and business understanding.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related technical discipline.

Good to Have:

• Experience testing SaaS or B2B products.
