AI Engineer

We are looking for an Applied AI Data Scientist to help build Kily's decision intelligence layer. In this role, you will develop intelligent systems capable of understanding product, marketplace, and operational data, generating insights, and executing actions through APIs and automated workflows.

You will work at the intersection of machine learning, LLMs, data science, and software engineering to build conversational AI experiences, autonomous agents, and scalable decision-making systems.

Responsibilities:

• Build and deploy AI-powered conversational interfaces that enable users to interact with data naturally.
• Develop intelligent agents capable of querying structured data sources and taking actions through APIs.
• Design and implement data models, machine learning pipelines, and evaluation frameworks.
• Build systems that reason over product, marketplace, and operational datasets to generate actionable insights.
• Create insight-generation pipelines that continuously learn and improve from user interactions and business outcomes.
• Work with LLMs, retrieval systems, agent frameworks, and modern AI tooling to deliver production- grade solutions.
• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and leadership teams to translate business problems into AI solutions.
• Analyse large datasets using SQL and Python to identify trends, opportunities, and optimisation strategies.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, Applied AI, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying machine learning models in production environments.
• Strong data analysis, experimentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with APIs and integrating external systems.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment with high ownership.
• Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), RAG systems, or AI agent frameworks.
• Experience building conversational AI or chatbot applications.
• Familiarity with agent orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, or similar.
• Exposure to marketplace, advertising, e-commerce, or product analytics datasets.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Research background in Machine Learning, NLP, or AI is a strong plus.
