About the Position

We are seeking a Project Manager - Structural Steel to oversee structural steel projects from initial handoff through successful completion.

This role will work closely with clients, field leadership, vendors, fabricators, and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. The ideal candidate is organized, financially savvy, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while identifying and resolving issues before they impact project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage structural steel projects from handoff through completion
• Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and project scope
• Coordinate with clients, field leaders, vendors, fabricators, and subcontractors
• Plan and coordinate material, equipment, fabrication, and erection requirements
• Monitor project schedules, productivity, costs, billings, and overall progress
• Prepare financial cost projections and regular productivity analyses
• Coordinate fabrication and field erection activities
• Identify project risks and resolve issues proactively
• Maintain strong client relationships throughout project execution
• Ensure projects remain aligned with contractual requirements, budgets, and schedules
• Oversee multiple projects throughout the region as needed
• Conduct periodic jobsite visits and support field teams throughout project execution

Requirements

• 3+ years of commercial construction project management experience
• Structural steel experience strongly preferred
• Candidates with strong project management experience in commercial general contracting or other specialty trades will also be considered
• Four-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field highly preferred; equivalent industry experience may be considered
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project scope
• Experience managing project budgets, costs, billings, and financial projections
• Proficiency with Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with On-Screen Takeoff (OST) is a plus
• Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
• Willingness to travel regionally for periodic jobsite visits
