We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Pre-Construction Manager to join King & Moffatt Building Services and lead the electrical pre-construction and bid strategy across major M&E projects.
This is a senior leadership role where you’ll drive electrical tendering, technical compliance, design coordination, commercial strategy, and client engagement from initial enquiry through to project handover.

What you’ll be doing
- Leading the electrical pre-construction and bid management process from enquiry through to project handover
- Developing winning strategies for Electrical and full M&E Design & Build tenders
- Coordinating Electrical Estimators, Design Engineers, Planners, and Bid Teams
- Reviewing electrical technical specifications, drawings, and tender documentation
- Managing electrical design development and technical compliance throughout tender stages
- Identifying project risks, long-lead electrical equipment requirements, and programme constraints
- Driving value engineering opportunities and innovative electrical solutions
- Leading supply chain engagement with key electrical manufacturers and subcontractors
- Managing tender programmes and ensuring submissions meet client requirements and deadlines
- Preparing and delivering technical presentations and tender interviews with clients and consultants
- Supporting seamless handover from Pre-Construction to Operations and Project Delivery teams
- Monitoring market trends, bid performance, and opportunities for continuous improvement
What we’re looking for
- Minimum 10 years’ experience within the Electrical Building Services or M&E sector
- At least 5 years in a Pre-Construction, Senior Estimating, or Electrical Bid Management role
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or Construction Management
- Strong technical understanding of electrical systems, infrastructure, and building services delivery
- Experience working on Data Centre, Pharmaceutical, Industrial, or large commercial projects
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of JCT / NEC contracts
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and work to tight deadlines
- Proficient in estimating software, MS Project / Asta, and digital construction platforms
