Pay: $24-$26 per hour (based on experience)

Position Overview

We’re looking for a skilled Fleet Mechanic to join our New York City team. This position is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing company vehicles and equipment. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and committed to keeping our fleet operating efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled basic maintenance and inspections on vehicles (cars, vans, and trucks).
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and perform transport to dealership for repairs.
• Complete preventive maintenance and maintain detailed service records.
• Conduct safety and compliance inspections to meet DOT and environmental standards.
• Manage parts inventory and coordinate repair schedules with the operations team.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Assist occasionally with maintenance of field equipment and small engines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade school or ASE certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a fleet, automotive, or diesel mechanic.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
• Valid New York State driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Basic computer/tablet skills for logging maintenance and repairs.
