Our Team

Join the Web Solutions team, the digital engineering arm of DSS (Datacom & Specialty Solutions) within the Copper Solutions Business Unit (CSBU). As part of the Software Solution Group (SSG), you will contribute to software solutions that connect product development, engineering, manufacturing, and operations through enterprise applications, traceability systems, database platforms, system integrations, and analytics. You will work on building and supporting scalable backend applications that improve product quality, manufacturing execution, data integrity, and operational efficiency across the organization.

What You Will Do

• Design, develop, and maintainscalable backend services using Python and Django.

• Build and manage RESTful APIsusing Django REST Framework (DRF)to support QMS modules.

• Implement authentication, authorization, and role-based access controls for enterprise applications.

• Ensurebackend systems meet security, reliability, and regulatory compliancerequirements.

• Collaborate closely with frontenddevelopers & database engineers to ensure seamless end-to-endintegration.

• Write unit, integration, and API tests using PyTest/ Django Test Framework.

• Identifyand resolve performance bottlenecks, reliability issues, and production defects.

• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and best practices.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deploymentreadiness, and environment configuration.

• Maintain technical documentation for backend architecture, APIs, and data models.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or relatedfield.

• 3 to 5years of professional experiencein backend development.

• Strong programming experience in Python.

• Hands-on experience with the Djangoframework,ORMinternals, query development, optimization, & troubleshooting in production environments.

• Strong experience with DjangoRESTFramework(DRF).

• Proven experience in RESTAPIdesignand development, including versioning and error handling.

• Experience implementing authentication and authorization mechanismssuch as JWT / OAuthand role-based access control.

• Strong understanding of backend architecture, service-oriented design, and security best practices.

• Experience writing unit and integration testsusing PyTest/ Django Test Framework.

• Familiarity with Gitand SDLCpractices.

• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to data accuracy, reliability, and maintainability.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Experience building backend systems for Quality Management Systems (QMS) applications.

• Experience with Celery / Redisor other asynchronous processing frameworks.

• Familiarity with API security standards and audit logging.

• Experience working in Agile / Scrumdevelopment environments.
