Our INVISTA Orange, TX facility is seeking entrepreneurial, innovative individuals to join our team as a Process Operator.

As a member of the team, you'll work alongside experienced operators, maintenance technicians, and engineers while utilizing modern manufacturing technology and digital tools to support safe and reliable operations. This is an opportunity to build technical skills, contribute to continuous improvement efforts, and make a meaningful impact on plant performance.

What You Will Do

  • Safely operate and monitor process equipment to support production, quality, and reliability objectives
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve process upsets, equipment issues, and operating abnormalities
  • Conduct routine field inspections to identify hazards, equipment concerns, and process deviations before they impact operations
  • Follow operating procedures and environmental requirements to ensure safe and compliant plant operation
  • Collaborate with operators, maintenance technicians, engineers, and other stakeholders to address operational challenges and improve plant performance
  • Participate in unit startups, shutdowns, and other critical operating activities
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts that enhance safety, reliability, efficiency, and product quality
  • Complete required training and qualification activities to develop technical knowledge and operating proficiency
  • Participate as a member of the site's Emergency Response Team (ERT)

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Associate's degree in Process Technology with operationsexperience in a refinery or chemical plant
  • Experience with a workflow, work-order, or computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), such as SAP or LeanKit.
  • Demonstrated ability and aptitude to troubleshoot operational or process-related issues and apply corrective actions
  • Willing and able to participate as a member of the facility's Emergency Response Team (ERT), including responding to emergency call-outs and completing required ERT training and physical readiness standards
  • This role is not eligible for Visa sponsorship

Physical Requirements

  • Must be capable of meeting all physical demands as determined by a Physical Abilities Test, including lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing stairs, ladders, and scaffolds, wearing all necessary PPE, and working in varied climates and conditions
  • Due to the nature of field operations, candidates must be medically fit to wear a full-face respirator and maintain a clean-shaven face
  • Perform basic mechanical tasks as required, such as pulling and installing valves and assembling flanges
  • This position requires working a DuPont 12-hour rotating shift schedule with mandatory overtime as required to ensure 24/7 staffing coverage, this includes nights, weekends and holidays.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • 5+ years of experience as an Operator in a refinery or chemical plant
  • Previous experience with HMD (Hexamethylenediamine)
  • Advanced process troubleshooting experience
  • Proficient in SAP
  • Active Emergency Response Team experience
  • Experience participating or leading root cause analysis (RCA)
