This position is offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover a maternity leave.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the team and ensuring business continuity throughout the duration of the assignment.

KONE Purchasing is a global organization of purchasing and supplier management experts responsible for direct and indirect material and service sourcing for KONE.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Purchasing Specialist to join our dynamic Projects and Modernization Purchasing team in the KONE Global Direct Material Europe Purchasing organization.

As a Purchasing Specialist, you will focus on direct materials procurement initiatives for Modernization as well as the Control Systems and Networks Solutions & Devices categories.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to manage supplier relationships effectively.

Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential to succeed in this position.

This position is based in Cadrezzate con Osmate (VA), Italy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all procurement activities including supplier contracts, price negotiations, and RFQ management for your own area of responsibility

  • Act as the contract owner for direct material suppliers and support the implementation of global/area category plans

  • Identify and drive new cost savings initiatives to support profitability

  • Manage supplier quality and on-time delivery in collaboration with the stakeholders.

  • Report monthly key performance indicators and manage budgets, forecasts, and savings for own area of responsibility.

  • Drive cross-functional cost reduction initiatives in collaboration with Engineering, R&D, and Operations stakeholders.

  • Support the implementation and execution of cost-saving initiatives across the product lifecycle.

  • Monitor and report cost performance against budget targets in collaboration with R&D and key stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, supply chain management, or business)

  • 3 or more years’ work experience in procurement

  • Experience in leading supplier negotiations and managing supplier relationships with local, regional, and global suppliers

  • Knowledge of electrification and/or electronics supply markets and technology is an asset

  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a multinational environment

  • Fluent English and Italian other languages are an asset

  • Willingness to travel

Employment Terms:

  • Employment under the Italian National Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL) for the Metalworking Industry

  • Gross annual salary starting from €40,000, commensurate with experience and skills

  • The compensation package is complemented by variable incentives and company benefits
