Forward Deployement Engineer

We are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to lead complex enterprise AI implementations from initial discovery through production deployment. This is a highly technical, customer-facing role for engineers who enjoy solving ambiguous problems, working directly with enterprise stakeholders, and building solutions in complex environments. FDEs are the technical owners of enterprise deployments. They build integrations across legacy and modern systems, navigate security and compliance requirements, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure AI solutions deliver measurable business outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Own enterprise AI implementations end-to-end, from discovery and solution design to production deployment.
• Build integrations across complex, legacy, and modern enterprise systems.
• Develop and deploy AI-powered applications, agents, and workflows within customer environments.
• Work with APIs, databases, CRMs, ERPs, communication platforms, and proprietary systems.
• Navigate customer-specific security, compliance, infrastructure, and data constraints.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues in environments with limited control or incomplete documentation.
• Collaborate directly with technical teams, business stakeholders, and senior/C-suite leaders.
• Understand customer workflows and translate business problems into scalable technical solutions.
• Prioritise competing requirements and challenge requests when a better technical or product approach exists.
• Identify recurring customer challenges and help turn successful solutions into reusable platform capabilities.
• Operate with high autonomy and take full ownership of technical outcomes.

Requirements:

• Strong experience in software engineering, backend development, or technical implementation.
• Experience building and integrating production-grade systems and APIs.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, databases, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise software environments.
• Experience working with AI/ML, LLMs, AI agents, or automation is highly desirable.
• Ability to work with unfamiliar technologies and quickly understand complex technical environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to operate effectively with ambiguity.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with both engineers and senior business stakeholders.
• Strong product intuition and an understanding of business requirements beyond the technical implementation.
• Experience working with enterprise security, compliance, and data requirements.
• A high degree of ownership, autonomy, and accountability.
