Kubota's innovative Service Training Team are a key support to our dealers and customers.

Your new role will provide significant opportunity for you to apply the full range of your mechanical and technical skills and capabilities along with your product knowledge, relationship management and training/ facilitation skillsets. You will develop and deliver product and technical training and support for internal and external partners in relation to products and product categories across Australian and New Zealand jurisdictions.

Your key accountabilities in your new role would include:

  • Develop and deliver product and technical training including hands on demonstration such as for equipment

operation, benefits, maintenance and safety as well as in field coaching/ capability development.

Activity includes, but is not limited to:

o Undertake training needs analysis and adapt delivery planning for different audiences and experience levels.

o Create and maintain training materials/ collateral, presentations, guides and practical learning resources

o Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, assessments and ongoing improvement initiatives

o Delivery and facilitation of (face-to-face) instructor led training

o Undertake a range of administrative activity including but not limited to; coordination with dealer/user, attendance administration, risk assessments for demonstrations/ machinery operation during training, survey/ experience/ outcomes monitoring

  • Undertake a range of research and liaison to ensure technical and working knowledge of models, updates and market needs
  • Support product launches with structured sessions and demonstrations
  • Undertake data analysis, reporting activity and presenting information on an ad hoc or scheduled basis, including but not limited to; product performance, reporting of technical issues, customer service improvement metrics, product offering feedback and lead/ sales objectives
  • Act as a representative of the Kubota brand and as a representative of Kubota at external events, including at product launches, field days and industry events
  • Undertake relationship management activity with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including Dealers, Kubota Zone Managers, Regional Service Managers, Technical Specialists and third-party providers
  • May participate in a range of organisational or departmental projects to optimise product, sales and service-related operations or objectives

Requirements

Your resume would likely include:

  • Secondary education. Mechanical trade certification i.e. heavy vehicle, diesel mechanic, agricultural machinery or Automotive mechanical qualification (preferred)
  • Certification in Training and Assessment (strongly preferred)
  • License/ ticket/ certification relevant to product being demonstrated (as applicable)
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Valid Passport and satisfy all conditions allowing interstate and international travel
  • Significant hands-on subject matter expert experience in a similar product training specialist position with a focus on the development and delivery of training and in-field coaching/ capability development and full range of use product demonstration
  • Demonstrated ability to develop content, train, facilitate, coach and present effectively
  • Experience operating a range of agricultural, construction or industrial machinery
  • Proven applied understanding of, and experience with, as well as mechanical aptitude relevant to the product category/s. Includes applied practical in-field understanding of product/ machinery, production techniques and performance requirements.
  • Demonstrated strong understanding of adult learning principles and practical training methods
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with particular focus on the ability to undertake and present reporting and explain technical concepts in simple terms
  • Proven relationship management in a consultancy and customer service experience context
  • Basic knowledge of sales processes, including lead generation, customer engagement, needs assessment, product presentation, objection handling, and closing techniques, supported by strong communication, relationship-building, and customer-focused selling skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, including in relation to set-up and presentation of products
  • Well-developed planning and organisational skills with proven ability to manage concurrent priorities
  • Applied knowledge of relevant and applicable International and Australian Standards relevant to product and applicable WHS/OHS legislation
  • Proficient in the use of a range of applications, including but not limited to; SAP, MS SharePoint, MS Office/ Google Suites, LMS type software and Copilot/ AI

*An inherent requirement of this position is regional travel with occasional interstate and international travel.
