The Role
As Mainframe CICS Operations at Kyndryl, you’ll manage and support transactional applications within enterprise mainframe environments, ensuring consistent performance, availability, and reliable response times. This role is essential to maintaining business-critical systems that support high-volume transaction processing.
You are responsible for monitoring CICS transactional environments, resolving performance or availability issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain stable operations. Your work directly contributes to service reliability and operational continuity at Kyndryl.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and support CICS transactional applications to ensure performance, availability, and reliability.
Analyze and resolve issues impacting transaction response time and system stability.
Utilize mainframe tools to perform daily operational support and monitoring activities.
Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to maintain and improve mainframe operations.
Document incidents, resolutions, and operational activities in line with support standards.

Required Skills and Experience
2+ years of hands-on experience supporting mainframe environments, with a focus on CICS transactional applications.
Proficiency using CICS Explorer and z/OS tools for monitoring and support activities.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills in transactional system environments.
Experience collaborating with multiple teams to resolve system availability or performance issues.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Intermediate English proficiency for technical documentation, incident reporting, and communication with global teams.
Experience supporting performance-critical transactional systems.
Exposure to structured incident management and reporting practices.
