The Role

Infrastructure Architects are the key link between Kyndryl and our clients. You’re in a technical leadership role, uniting and guiding stakeholders from clients, governance, and project executives to delivery and sometimes even the vendors who work with the client. You’ll be there from the start of a project - understanding what’s needed and figuring out the best technical solution. And you’ll be there at the finish, delivering the right product on time and within budget.

As an Infrastructure Architect, you’ll draw upon the full breadth of your talent and experience. This is a technical leadership role, so we want you to bring your vision, knowledge, and leadership to each project. To the client, you’re the subject matter expert - consulting early, gathering inputs, understanding what they need from our solution. You define what Kyndryl can do to meet this solution. You design the best solution for the job. And finally, you’re the tech leader for implementation.

Required Technical and Professional Experience

Provide L3 support for enterprise data center and network infrastructure.

· Manage and troubleshoot Arista switches and enterprise LAN/Data Center network environments.

· Perform configuration, troubleshooting, and operational support for Arista EOS, BGP, OSPF, VLAN, STP, MLAG and related technologies.

· Manage and troubleshoot Palo Alto Firewalls, including security policies, NAT, routing, VPN/IPSec, HA, and traffic-flow issues.

· Work on Aviatrix Cloud Networking infrastructure and resolve day-to-day network operational issues.

· Perform complex network troubleshooting across LAN, WAN, routing, switching, firewall, and connectivity layers.

· Analyze network incidents, identify root cause, and provide permanent corrective actions.

· Prepare detailed RCA (Root Cause Analysis) for major and recurring incidents and outages.

· Perform packet-level troubleshooting using Ping, Traceroute, Telnet, TCPDump/Wireshark and network/firewall logs.

· Troubleshoot BGP and OSPF, including route advertisement, redistribution, neighbor, and convergence issues.

· Troubleshoot VLAN, STP/RSTP/MST, LACP, MLAG, port-channel and interface-related issues.

· Handle incidents, problems, changes, and service requests in accordance with ITIL/Change Management processes.

· Coordinate with L2/L1, Security, Server, Virtualization, Application and other infrastructure teams for end-to-end issue resolution.

· Review and validate MOPs, implementation plans, rollback plans, and change requests.

· Participate in planned network changes, migrations, upgrades, and infrastructure projects.

· Maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge articles.

· Mentor L1/L2 engineers and provide technical guidance during complex incidents.

Required Technical Skills

Arista Networking: Arista EOS; BGP; OSPF; VLAN; STP/RSTP/MST; MLAG; LACP; Layer 2/Layer 3 troubleshooting; Arista CloudVision/CVP (preferred).

Palo Alto Firewall: Security Policies; NAT; Routing; IPSec/Site-to-Site VPN; HA; Security Zones; traffic/session troubleshooting; firewall log analysis; Panorama (preferred).

Aviatrix Cloud Networking: Aviatrix network administration and troubleshooting; cloud connectivity; network routing; infrastructure troubleshooting; incident and problem resolution.

Troubleshooting & RCA: Strong L3 troubleshooting; packet analysis; incident investigation; Root Cause Analysis; problem management; performance/connectivity troubleshooting; log analysis; permanent-fix identification.

Good to Have

· Data Center networking experience.

· SDN and network automation exposure.

· Python or network automation knowledge.

· Cloud networking exposure across AWS/Azure/GCP.

· CCNA, CCNP or equal , ITIL certification.

· Experience with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Datadog, Splunk, or Grafana.

Candidate Profile

· Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to handle P1/P2 critical incidents independently.

· Ability to take ownership from initial troubleshooting through RCA and permanent resolution.

· Good communication, coordination, and stakeholder-management skills.

· Ability to work effectively in a 24×7 support environment.

· Strong documentation and technical reporting skills.
