The Role

This role focuses on L1/L2 SAP Basis Administration and Service Management, primarily responsible for the continuous monitoring, health checks, and performance tuning of SAP systems, HANA databases, and interfaces using modern observability tools. The candidate will handle incident management within ITIL frameworks, perform initial troubleshooting, and coordinate closely with SAP RISE, hyperscaler teams, and stakeholders during major outages and scheduled maintenance. Additionally, the position involves supporting change and release management-including transports, kernel updates, and system refreshes-while maintaining strict SLA compliance, accurate documentation, and operational reporting.

Required Skills & Experience:

• SAP Technical Expertise:Proficient in SAP Basis administration (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, Solution Manager) and HANA, including system maintenance, TMS, performance tuning, and tools like Cloud ALM/Focused Run.

• RISE & Cloud Infrastructure:Knowledge of RISE with SAP operating models, support boundaries, and managing SAP environments on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• ITSM & Support Operations:Skilled in 24x7 production support, managing incidents, problems, and changes, while ensuring adherence to SLAs and performing root cause analysis.

• Experience & Qualifications:Requires 3-8 years of relevant SAP/S/4HANA experience, ideally backed by SAP Basis, HANA, or ITIL certifications and familiarity with AMS/MSM engagements.

• Performance Success:Focuses on maintaining high system availability, resolving outages efficiently, reducing recurring incidents, and improving overall customer satisfaction.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• SAP Certified Technology Associate - SAP System Administration.

• SAP HANA Administration certification.

• ITIL Foundation Certification.
