Labcorp is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our Pathology Lab at Ascension Saint Mary’s in Milwaukee, WI
Work schedule: Shift 1, Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare case conferences for the pathologists
- Track and own all pathology send out work
- Filing blocks and slides
- Transcribe codes
- Proficiency in the use of computers, word processing software and dictation equipment
- Proficiency with numbers
- Maintain cooperative work relationships with internal and external customers
- Research information
- Time management skills
- Answer phones
- Enter reference laboratory testing reports into electronic medical record (Epic)
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6 mos or more of prior experience in Pathology
- Medical terminology knowledge or medical terminology training
- Familiarity with computerized data bases

- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Answer telephones, maintain logs/records
