We are seeking a motivated and collaborative Engineering Intern to join our team and support engineering projects, process improvements, and technical initiatives. This internship provides hands-on experience working alongside engineering professionals in a fast-paced technology and manufacturing environment. The intern will gain exposure to engineering methodologies, problem-solving techniques, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration while contributing to meaningful business objectives.
What you’ll do
Support engineering projects and day-to-day technical activities under the guidance of experienced engineers.
Assist with data collection, analysis, and reporting to support engineering and operational decisions.
Participate in process improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, productivity, and cost reduction.
Assist in developing, documenting, and maintaining engineering procedures, work instructions, and technical documentation.
Conduct research, testing, and evaluations to support product, process, or equipment improvements.
Analyze engineering data and prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Operations, and other engineering functions.
Support troubleshooting activities and root cause analysis for technical issues.
Participate in project meetings and provide updates on assigned tasks and deliverables.
Adhere to all safety, quality, environmental, and company policies.Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Who we’re looking for
Availability for a minimum 6 months internship is required.
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
Strong academic performance and demonstrated interest in engineering principles and applications.
Basic understanding of engineering concepts, problem-solving methodologies, and analytical techniques.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Strong analytical, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Detail-oriented with strong time management and multitasking capabilities.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
