You will be part of Lam Research’s global Finance and Digital Transformation organization, supporting enterprise-wide financial systems and processes. The team partners closely with Finance, IT, Manufacturing, and Program leadership to deliver scalable, compliant, and future-ready SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions across regions and business units.

The impact you’ll make

In this role, you will deliver enterprise-level impact by shaping how Lam designs, governs, and executes financial processes during large-scale migrations from SAP ECC/SAP Central Component to SAP S/4HANA and Central Finance. You will influence finance architecture decisions, evaluate fit-for-purpose migration strategies such as system conversion, selective data transition, Central Finance-led adoption, and phased process transformation, and ensure business continuity, compliance, and financial integrity across global operations.

What you’ll do

Lead and own SAP Finance & Controlling solution design for ECC to S/4HANA transformations, operating independently on complex, high-impact initiatives.

Drive end-to-end SAP S/4HANA and Central Finance migration strategy for FICO, including migration from SAP ECC/SAP Central Component to S/4HANA using differentiated approaches such as brownfield system conversion, greenfield implementation, selective data transition, or Central Finance as a stepping-stone strategy. Conduct in-depth analysis and redesign of complex business processes.

Define future-state finance architectures leveraging SAP S/4HANA capabilities such as Universal Journal, New Asset Accounting, embedded analytics, Central Finance for harmonized financial reporting and data replication, and Central Procurement implementation within the CFIN transformation scope.

Compliance and Risk Management: Partner with the internal audit, Cybersecurity, and other IT teams to ensure processes and technologies adhere to regulatory requirements, financial reporting standards, and internal controls, maintaining high levels of data integrity.

System Optimization: Analyze the effectiveness of existing systems, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop strategies to leverage technology for operational efficiency.

Assisting with various state and local indirect tax consulting projects including sales & use and excise tax overpayment reviews, tax implications of sales and purchase transactions, audit defense services, nexus planning, and voluntary disclosures.

Must have proficiency in implementing/supporting tax technology products, such as Vertex, Corp Tax and other similar tax software

Design, configure, and optimize SAP FICO modules with a strong focus on Product Costing (CO-PC) and Cost Object Controlling (CO-OM) in manufacturing environments.

Serve as the functional authority for cross-module integrations between FICO, SD, MM, and PP.

Partner with Global partners in Europe, India and US.

Guide integration with external and adjacent systems including FP&A platforms, SAP RAR, tax engines, and financial close tools.

Support Central Procurement implementation in the Central Finance landscape, including integration with sourcing, procurement, accounts payable, tax, intercompany, and financial reporting processes.

Own financial data migration strategy and execution, ensuring accuracy, reconciliation, auditability, and compliance.

Assess source-system readiness, data quality, custom code, integration dependencies, and business process impacts to recommend the appropriate SAP ECC/SAP Central Component to S/4HANA migration path for each process area or region.

Who we’re looking for

We are looking for a recognized SAP Finance subject-matter expert who operates with minimal supervision, exercises independent judgment, and influences decisions across organizational boundaries. The ideal candidate is a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and thrives in complex, global environments.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.

· Minimum of 12 years of progressive SAP FICO experience across ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments.

· Deep expertise in manufacturing finance, product costing, External Tax Engine (Vertex) and controlling processes.

· Proven experience designing and governing cross-module SAP solutions at enterprise scale.

· Strong ability to influence senior business and IT stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications

· SAP certification in FICO and/or SAP S/4HANA.

· Experience leading global SAP rollouts or multi-region implementations.

· Experience with SAP Fiori.

· Knowledge of SAP integration and data migration tools.

· Experience with Central Finance-enabled Central Procurement implementation and integration with SAP S/4HANA Finance processes.

· Knowledge of cloud-based and on-premises integration technologies (e.g., SAP Cloud Platform Integration, SAP Data Services, Migration Cockpit).

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
