Senior Accountant - Lease Accounting

The impact you’ll make

The Senior Accountant - Lease Accounting supports global lease accounting under U.S. GAAP and IFRS, administers LeaseAccelerator, and provides technical accounting guidance to Finance and cross-functional business partners.

What you’ll do

• Manage global lease accounting in accordance with ASC 842, IFRS 16, company policy, and materiality thresholds.
• Evaluate contracts and lease events for identification, classification, measurement, modifications, reassessments, and terminations.
• Administer LeaseAccelerator, including access, configuration, master data, testing, issue resolution, and user support.
• Prepare and review close deliverables, including journal entries, right-of-use assets, lease liabilities, reconciliations, variance analyses, disclosures, and audit support.
• Maintain accurate lease records and effective SOX controls over lease accounting and system administration.
• Research technical accounting matters and provide practical guidance to Finance and cross-functional business partners.
• Maintain policies, procedures, and training materials; oversee outsourced support and coordinate with software vendors.
• Drive process, automation, and reporting improvements that strengthen data quality, controls, and scalability.

Who we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4 to 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and practical experience applying ASC 842 across the lease lifecycle.
• Experience with SOX controls, audits, and financial reporting requirements.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong technical research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage priorities across functions and geographies.

Preferred qualifications

• CPA or equivalent professional certification.
• Experience with IFRS 16 and LeaseAccelerator or a comparable lease accounting platform.
• Experience in a large multinational organization or public accounting firm.
• Experience with Alteryx, Quickbase, or similar automation and workflow tools.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
