The impact you’ll make

As a Supplier Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer at Lam, you'll make an impact in ensuring suppliers manufacturing processes and products meet quality standards by designing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance programs. You design methods for inspecting, testing, and evaluating production processes and finished products onsite at our global suppliers’ locations. By analyzing production data, you identify trends and partner with the supplier to resolve technical, quality and production challenges. Your expertise will help develop excellence in supplier product inputs supporting Lam's commitment to delivering high-quality and reliable products.

What you’ll do

Job Responsibilities

• This position performs supplier development, program/project management, cross-functional teamalignment functions for key initiatives in the Supplier Engineering and Technology (SET)
• Group SET is a global organization that innovates in manufacturing technology, materialstechnology, and supply chain quality for next-generation semiconductor process equipment.
• Developing Suppliers to meet Lam quality standards.
• Interfacing with key teams within Lam including technical product groups, account teams and globaloperations as a representative of SET.
• Influencing decisions and company driven objectives within internal and external groups to achievecompany goals.
• Provide seamless interface with SET global commodity heads to account teams and othermembers of SET.
• Providing leadership to supplier engineers within Lam as a cross-functional team leader
• Organizing and owning internal and external Review Meetings.

Who we’re looking for

Minimum Qualifications

• • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in managing technical programs and projects, preferably in theSemiconductor Industry
  • Managing Suppliers for Machining (CNC) and/or Plastic tube bending & welding.
  • Experience specific to:Aluminum (AL) & Plastic material Machining plus manual/robotic welding of AL & Plasticparts will be an added advantage.
  • Experience with SPC, proficient at capability study, understanding CPK, control limits.
  • Extensive experience in Machine qualification, health monitoring techniques.
  • Understanding the concept of / hands-on experience on CNC machining processes / metal & plastic welding / CMM & Metrology inspection / Electro-Mechanical Assembly processes
  • Experience solving complicated problems and project management- need example (8D andothers).
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication (English).

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
