Your week as a Technical Sales Manager?
You’re getting an early start today as you hop in the car to head to Schiphol: an exciting travel week with lots of customer visits lies ahead.
One of the highlights is a meeting to discuss the future of automated pouch handling with one of the world’s leading pet food producers. Together with your Sales Engineering colleague, you’ve developed a solution that perfectly balances innovation, performance and return on investment.
A few hours later, your phone rings: a customer in Australia has selected Lan as their preferred partner. Months of relationship building, technical discussions and solution development have paid off! Next week, you’ll bring the project team together for a handover meeting with colleagues from Project Management and Engineering, ensuring a smooth transition from sales to execution.
Later that week, you’re standing next to a newly commissioned production line for ready meal salads, watching thousands of products move flawlessly through an End-of-Line system that started as an idea on your laptop. You exchange ideas with the customer, identify new opportunities and further strengthen the partnership for the future.
Before heading home, you take time to capture the insights gathered throughout the week. Customer feedback, competitor activity, market trends and emerging opportunities are translated into actions that help shape Lan’s commercial strategy and future product roadmap. Wow, another dynamic week filled with technology, customer interaction and international business has flown by!
How you get things moving:
- You have a Bachelor's degree with a technical or business background
- 5-10 years of experience in an international sales role (machinebuilding or food industry)
- A proven trackrecord in gaining new business in a B2B environment

- Earn a salary between €4500 and €5700, depending on your experience.
- We ask for flexibility because of the travel involved, and we gladly return the favor - whenever you’re not needed at a customer site or our production location, you’re free to work remote (though we enjoy seeing our colleagues from time to time!).
