The Lansing School District is a public school district serving Lansing, the capital of Michigan, along with part of East Lansing and several neighbouring townships. It runs elementary, middle and high schools plus a universal preschool programme, and supports students through special education, autism spectrum services, bilingual instruction and career-focused pathways. The district recruits teachers, deans of students, instructional and specialised assistants, lunch and support staff for schools across the city, and expects Michigan certification for its classroom roles.
