Scheduling Engineer /1029/2B

About the Role

L&T Construction is seeking a Scheduling Engineer for a major RTA Roads and Infrastructure Project in Dubai, UAE. The candidate will support project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and reporting to ensure timely completion of construction activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, update, and monitor detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Develop baseline programmes, look-ahead schedules, recovery plans, and resource-loaded schedules.
• Coordinate with construction, engineering, procurement, commercial, and subcontractor teams to collect progress information.
• Track actual progress against the approved schedule and identify delays, risks, and critical activities.
• Monitor project milestones, critical paths, interfaces, and resource requirements.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and S-curves.
• Conduct schedule-impact and delay analysis and recommend corrective measures.
• Support the preparation of extension-of-time claims, recovery schedules, and revised programmes.
• Participate in progress-review meetings and follow up on agreed actions.
• Maintain accurate planning records, progress data, productivity reports, and schedule revisions.
• Assist in preparing manpower, equipment, and material forecasts.
• Ensure schedules comply with project, client, consultant, and RTA reporting requirements.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3-8 years of experience in project planning and scheduling for roads, highways, infrastructure, or civil/EPC projects.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in preparing baseline programmes, look-ahead schedules, progress updates, and recovery plans.
• Good understanding of construction sequences, critical-path analysis, resource planning, and progress measurement.
• UAE/GCC experience, preferably on RTA roads or infrastructure projects in Dubai, will be an advantage.
• Good analytical, coordination, communication, and reporting skills.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with planning and scheduling experience in highways, interchanges, bridges, utility diversions, drainage, traffic diversions, and major infrastructure projects in Dubai/UAE will be preferred.
