Data Migration Test Automation Engineer

Role Purpose:
We are looking for a data-focused test automation engineer who can build repeatable validation and reconciliation capabilities for workloads migrated from Informatica PowerCenter. The objective is to reduce manual regression effort while maintaining confidence that migrated workloads produce functionally equivalent results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define migration testing and reconciliation strategy.
- Analyze existing PowerCenter workload outputs and expected results.
- Build automated source-versus-target validation.
- Automate: row-count validation, schema validation, data-type validation, aggregate comparison, record-level reconciliation, null/default handling validation, duplicate detection, and transformation-rule verification.
- Create reusable migration test harnesses.
- Support regression testing across migration waves.
- Generate migration test evidence and exception reports.
- Support performance and batch-window validation.
- Identify opportunities to use AI/LLM capabilities to accelerate test-case generation, mapping interpretation, reconciliation-rule generation, and exception analysis.
- Integrate automated validation into CI/CD where practical.
Required Skills :
- Strong data testing and ETL testing experience.
- SQL and Python.
- Automated data reconciliation and ETL/data migration validation.
- Database and file comparison.
- Test automation frameworks.
- Understanding of batch-processing validation.
- Experience testing high-volume data pipelines.
Strongly Preferred :
- Informatica PowerCenter, Snowflake, and dbt testing experience.
- Experience developing migration reconciliation frameworks.
- Experience applying GenAI/LLMs to software or data testing.
- CI/CD experience.
Experience :
- 6 - 10 years in data/ETL testing and automation.
- This is a remote, 6-month contractual position.
