Job Description:
Sr. Product Engineering Technician:
Product Engineering is a key part of Lattice’s Research and Development (R&D) organization, serving as the vital bridge between Silicon Design and Manufacturing Operations. Its primary mission is to define, develop, and implement comprehensive chip verification and validation solutions for all Lattice products.
Because Product Engineering activities are heavily lab-centric, Lab Technicians play an essential role in the success of the organization. They provide critical support to Product Engineers by ensuring laboratory resources, equipment, and hardware are planned, prepared, and readily available to meet project requirements. Lab Technicians work closely with Product Engineers to develop and bring up product test and characterization capabilities across both ATE and bench platforms. In addition, they are responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the engineering lab, ensuring that all tools, equipment, and hardware remain in optimal working condition.
Product Engineering seeks innovative, proactive, and highly motivated individuals who are energized by solving technical challenges and driving results. The role offers broad exposure to the semiconductor industry, as Product Engineering is actively involved in every phase of product development, from concept to production. Successful candidates must demonstrate a strong ability to learn quickly, adapt to new technologies, and develop expertise in diverse technical areas.
Strong communication and collaboration skills are equally important, as the Product Engineering team interfaces extensively with nearly every technical and business function within the company, including Design, Applications, System Validation, Software, Manufacturing, Marketing, Quality, and Reliability. This cross-functional engagement provides unique opportunities to influence product success while building a comprehensive understanding of semiconductor product development.
