On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Forward Deployment Engineer (FDE).
About the Project:
The role focuses on combining software engineering expertise, solutions architecture, and technical sales. You will work directly with prospective and existing enterprise clients, helping them identify technical solutions, navigate regulatory requirements, and deliver measurable business value.
Responsibilities:
- Own the full technical sales cycle across assigned accounts and territories.
- Act as the primary technical authority for prospective and existing clients, connecting technical expertise with commercial outcomes.
- Drive pipeline growth by identifying, qualifying, and closing opportunities.
- Lead discussions on regulatory compliance, data privacy, and clinical safety.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Privacy, Regulatory, and other teams to scope customer requirements and ensure high-quality delivery.
- Lead complex discussions involving technical, regulatory, clinical, and commercial stakeholders.
- Support enterprise deals through procurement, legal review, and commercial negotiations.
- Ensure smooth collaboration between customers and internal teams.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience with Python.
- 3+ years of experience with SQL.
- 3+ years of experience with APIs, JSON, and cloud tooling.
- Hands-on experience in software engineering, solutions architecture, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to communicate business value to customers.
- Ability to lead complex discussions across technical, regulatory, clinical, and commercial domains.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting technical architectures and business cases to C-level stakeholders.
- Strong ownership mentality and accountability for account performance and business outcomes.
- Experience navigating and closing enterprise deals, including procurement, legal review, and commercial negotiations.
- Understanding of how composable platforms can be adapted to solve different customer problems.
- Willingness to complete a 4.5-hour technical interview with the client in one continuous session.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in health tech, digital health, or Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) development or commercialization.
- Familiarity with healthcare and life sciences business models, including how health systems, CROs, and pharmaceutical sponsors purchase and deploy technology.
- Working knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as FDA, MDR/IVDR, HIPAA, GDPR, or equivalent data privacy regulations.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, modern AI/ML concepts, and data pipelines.
- Experience combining engineering expertise with go-to-market responsibilities, such as transitioning from Engineering to Sales or managing a sales quota while remaining technically involved.
