Job Description:

HR Technology Operations Analyst III

Customer:

  • Act as a key resource and subject matter expert for supported HR technology applications, processes, and operational activities by providing specialized application, process, and systems support.
  • Manage assigned operational activities (i.e. EIB processing) and application processes, ensuring coordination of changes, timely execution, and adherence to established service levels.
  • Identify, document, investigate, and resolve operational exceptions, system issues, and process defects that extend beyond first-level support; escalate complex issues as appropriate.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute reporting and analysis to support operational effectiveness, service delivery, compliance activities, and management decision making.
  • Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, business partners, technology teams, and external vendors to support operational excellence and issue resolution.
  • Analyze operational trends, recurring incidents, and process exceptions to identify systemic root causes, recommend corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Contribute to the identification, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of operational workflows, system processes, controls, and technology-enabled efficiencies.
  • Support or lead small-scale initiatives, workstreams, testing activities, and operational improvement projects in accordance with established project delivery and change management methodologies.
  • Act as a point of escalation for operational and application-related issues, coordinating resolution activities and communicating status updates to stakeholders.
  • Deliver effective day-to-day operational and application support, ensuring service requests and incidents are resolved accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with stakeholder expectation.

Shareholder:

  • Prioritize and manage own workload to meet established service levels, operational, quality, compliance, and productivity requirements.
  • Support end-to-end operational activities, including EIB processing, monitoring, issue resolution, and operational controls, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to established procedures.
  • Monitor application, system, and operational lifecycles, ensuring functionality, controls, and processes support business objectives and technology architecture decisions.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute operational reporting, metrics, and analysis to monitor service delivery and operational performance, identify trends and improvement opportunities, and support decision making, compliance activities, capacity planning, and operational governance.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in supported HR technology solutions, including Workday and associated business processes, providing guidance, assistance, and direction to business and technology partners.
  • Assess and analyze operational, application, data, and process issues; perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence and improve service delivery.
  • Conduct operational and business process reviews and contribute to the design, documentation, implementation, and continuous improvement of operational controls, automation opportunities, workflows, processes, and procedures to improve efficiency, quality, and risk management.
  • Support and participate in testing activities, including test planning, test execution, defect management, validation, and post-implementation verification for system changes, releases, enhancements, and operational initiatives.
  • Ensure effective change management practices are followed through appropriate planning, communication, documentation, testing, implementation, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Identify, assess, manage, and escalate operational, compliance, system, data integrity, and control-related risks as appropriate.
  • Execute operational controls and governance activities to support data quality, process integrity, audit readiness, regulatory requirements, and policy compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise governance frameworks, security standards, audit requirements, disaster recovery (DRP), business recovery (BRP), and other applicable compliance obligations.
  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives and continuous improvement activities that enhance service delivery, strengthen business partnerships, and increase organizational effectiveness.
  • Continuously enhance knowledge and expertise in Workday, HR technology applications, reporting tools, operational processes, controls, testing methodologies, and industry best practices.

BREADTH & DEPTH

  • Provides day-to-day operational and application support for HR technology solutions, including Workday, EIB processing, reporting activities, controls, testing, and operational support processes.
  • Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the supported operating environment, business processes, procedures, controls, data flows, and transaction lifecycles within assigned applications and operational areas.
  • Identifies key operational, reporting, application, data, and process issues and supports timely resolution to minimize business impact.
  • Leads problem resolution for escalated operational and application issues; performs root cause analysis and escalates matters requiring additional interpretation, expertise, or technical support as appropriate.
  • Provides thorough analysis, specialized reporting, operational support, and process expertise to support business objectives, service delivery, and decision-making.
  • Participates in resolving application, system, data, and process-related issues, including investigation, testing, validation, and implementation activities.
  • Supports the execution and monitoring of operational controls, governance activities, compliance requirements, and audit-related processes to ensure data quality and process integrity.
  • Supports the installation, configuration, enhancement, testing, and deployment of business applications and operational solutions in coordination with technology and business stakeholders.
  • Participates and contributes to change management, release activities, testing, capacity planning, security, and operational readiness activities.
  • Performs problem determination and analysis of low to moderately complex operational, reporting, system, or process issues and recommends solutions and improvements.
  • Contributes to the identification and implementation of operational improvements, workflow enhancements, automation opportunities, and efficiency initiatives.
  • Requires a general understanding of the broader HR Technology, HR Operations, Compensation, Payroll, and business processes supported by the team.
  • Work involves moderate complexity across operational support, reporting, controls, testing, process analysis, and continuous improvement activities, generally requiring independent judgment within established guidelines.
  • May lead small-scale initiatives, project workstreams, testing activities, control reviews, or operational improvement efforts for assigned applications or processes.
  • Generally reports to a Team Manager, Manager, or Senior Manager.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate
  • 2-3 years relevant experience
