This is a 12-month contract opportunity

This role will play a key part in advancing the Supplier Relationship Management Governance team's process simplification and automation agenda. Working closely with business stakeholders, the successful candidate will identify and implement opportunities to reduce manual effort, improve operational effectiveness, and enhance governance processes. The position combines business analysis, process improvement, operational excellence, and change enablement activities to support both strategic transformation initiatives and critical supplier governance operations.

Job Description:

Investigates and identifies opportunities to optimize business operations, automate manual processes, and enhance supplier governance activities. Partners with stakeholders to analyze, document, and improve business processes, identify automation opportunities, and support the implementation of operational efficiencies. Defines business requirements through process analysis, data insights, and stakeholder engagement to support workflow redesign, reporting enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives. Supports key supplier governance activities, including supplier obligations management, supplier change intake, supplier onboarding/provisioning, and related operational processes.

  • Elicit business requirements and assess opportunities for process simplification, automation, and operational improvement to achieve desired business outcomes.
  • Analyze and document current-state and future-state processes, identifying opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency.
  • Partner with stakeholders to define and implement process improvements, workflow redesigns, reporting enhancements, and automation initiatives.
  • Support operational transformation initiatives across Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) Governance and related business functions.
  • Develop business requirements, process maps, procedures, user guides, and other project artifacts for multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Analyze data and operational metrics to identify trends, gaps, efficiencies, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Support the implementation and validation of new processes, workflows, and business solutions.
  • Provide operational support for supplier obligations management, supplier change activities, supplier onboarding/provisioning, and related governance processes.
  • Collaborate with business and technology partners to ensure solutions meet business requirements and deliver intended value.
  • Exercise judgment to identify, diagnose, and resolve operational and process-related issues.
  • Work independently on multiple complex initiatives with competing priorities and evolving business needs.
  • Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
  • Take measured risks while protecting the bank by applying our Risk Management Framework in the execution of your role.

Qualifications:

  • Process improvement, simplification, and optimization.
  • Business process mapping and workflow redesign.
  • Data analysis and operational reporting.
  • Continuous improvement methodologies and problem-solving techniques.
  • Stakeholder analysis and relationship management.
  • Digital fluency, including automation and workflow tools (e.g., Power Platform, Power Automate, reporting tools).
  • Change management and process adoption.
  • Systems thinking and end-to-end process analysis.
  • Learning agility and ability to adapt within a dynamic environment.

Intermediate Level of proficiency:

  • Business requirements definition, analysis, and documentation.
  • Current-state and future-state process design.
  • Insights development, reporting, and performance metrics.
  • Business case development and operational efficiency assessments.
  • Process automation opportunity identification and implementation support. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including documentation, procedure development, and stakeholder presentations.
  • Collaboration and relationship management across business and technology teams.
  • Analytical thinking, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving.
  • Data-driven decision making and continuous improvement practices.
  • Experience supporting operational transformation, process modernization, or automation initiatives.
  • Typically 4-6 years of relevant experience in business analysis, operational excellence, process improvement, or related disciplines, with a post-secondary degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Technical proficiency gained through education and/or practical business experience.

Salary:

$55,500.00 - $120,000.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
