The Opportunity
Our vision is to become the world’s most valued legal technology company. Our Sales Development team plays a key part in achieving that ambition by introducing law firms to LEAP’s market-leading SaaS solutions and creating high-quality opportunities for our Sales team.
As a Sales Development Representative, you’ll be responsible for identifying and engaging prospective clients. Through thoughtful, targeted outreach, you’ll learn about their challenges, introduce the value of LEAP, and qualify their needs before arranging a product demonstration with a Product Consultant.
This is a fast-paced, target-driven role for someone who is curious, resilient, and comfortable starting conversations with new people. You’ll receive structured training, regular coaching, and the tools you need to develop your SaaS sales skills, achieve your targets, and progress your career.
Requirements
What you'll do
- Research target accounts and identify the relevant decision-makers within prospective law firms.
- Generate new business opportunities through outbound calls, emails, social selling, and other prospecting channels.
- Engage prospects with relevant, personalised messaging that clearly communicates LEAP’s value.
- Conduct initial discovery conversations to understand each prospect’s needs, challenges, and buying priorities.
- Qualify opportunities against agreed criteria and arrange product demonstrations for Product Consultants.
- Work closely with Product Consultants and Marketing to coordinate outreach, share market insights, and improve lead quality.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospecting activity, conversations, and opportunities in the CRM.
- Manage follow-up activity consistently to nurture prospects who are not yet ready to progress.
- Achieve agreed activity, qualified-opportunity, meeting, and pipeline targets.
- Use performance data, coaching, and feedback to continually improve your approach.
What you'll bring
- Experience in a sales, business development, recruitment, customer service, or other target-driven role is desirable.
- Confidence communicating with prospective clients by phone, email, and LinkedIn.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to ask effective questions and listen carefully.
- A proactive and organised approach to managing outreach, follow-ups, and competing priorities.
- Resilience, self-motivation, and the determination to achieve and exceed targets.
- Curiosity and a genuine interest in understanding clients’ businesses and solving their challenges.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with Product Consultants, Marketing, and the wider Sales team.
- Openness to coaching, with the ability to apply feedback and adapt your approach.
- Experience using a CRM platform such as Salesforce or HubSpot is beneficial but not essential.
- Previous SaaS or legal-sector experience is an advantage but is not required.
