Leasafric Ghana seeks a qualified and experienced Driver to support its operations in Accra. The role requires a strong commitment to safety, vehicle care, time management, and professional conduct.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tyre rotations, fluid checks, brake and steering system inspections, and tune-ups.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment, service manuals, and technical expertise.
• Repair or replace engine components, transmissions, clutches, axles, cooling systems, fuel systems, and steering and suspension components.
• Conduct pre-purchase and safety inspections and prepare accurate repair estimates for service advisors.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organised work environment.
• Communicate diagnostic findings and repair progress effectively to service advisors and customers.
• Stay updated on new automotive technologies, technical service bulletins, and repair techniques.

Qualifications and experience

• Hold a relevant trade qualification, certification, or degree in Automotive Technology.
• Have 2–4 years of hands-on experience as an auto mechanic or automotive service technician.
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of vehicle diagnostic equipment and mechanical systems.
• Possess strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills.
• Demonstrate proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialised diagnostic equipment.
• Possess strong planning, organisational, and time management skills.
• Hold a valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
• Demonstrate the physical ability to lift heavy items, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks required for the role.
• Work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Possess knowledge of welding and fabrication, which is an advantage.
• Demonstrate familiarity with hybrid and electric vehicle (EV) systems.
