About the Role

The Premium Sales Representative position is primarily responsible for driving revenue and hitting sales goals around premium ticket, donation, and hospitality packages for University of Miami Athletics, with a specific heavy emphasis on premium ticket inventory. While premium sales will be the primary focus, this is a full-menu sales role, and the individual will be expected to actively sell and support all available ticket products, seating categories, hospitality offerings, and donation opportunities across Miami Hurricanes Athletics. This person should be a self-motivated and positive professional. This position is responsible for engaging, servicing and soliciting existing donors and ticket holders, while also identifying new prospective donors. This position will engage, sell and service a portfolio of high value customers and donors. This position will be focused on building relationships, servicing all Hurricanes supporters, driving revenue, and being a positive steward and representative of Legends and the University of Miami.

About the Project/Venue

The University of Miami is in a long-term partnership with Legends to oversee athletics ticket sales, customer service, annual fund solicitation/engagement, ticket operations, digital marketing, corporate partnerships, and multi-media rights opportunities. In addition, Legends will represent the University in developing campus-wide strategic partnerships. As the exclusive partner for Miami Athletics, Legends will engage Hurricanes fans and donors, local and regional South Florida businesses, and national brands with unique and integrated sponsorship, ticketing, and hospitality options.

WHAT YOU’LL DO (KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & OUTCOMES)

  • The candidate will be primarily focused on selling Miami Hurricanes premium seating products for ticketed sports; however, the role is responsible for selling and supporting the full menu of available products and categories. This includes, but is not limited to, premium and non-premium seating, season tickets, partial plans, group tickets, individual-game tickets, hospitality products, and ticket-related donation opportunities for Miami Hurricanes Football, Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball, and Baseball. The individual must be willing to assist with organizational sales priorities across all products and categories as business needs evolve.

  • A significant emphasis on face-to-face selling will be necessary for success in this role. Day-to-day duties include regularly prospecting businesses, social selling, attending external events, conducting appointments/tours, and conducting virtual presentations. Coachability and focus on development within these skill areas is a must. There is an expectation of exceeding minimums as it pertains to the volume of face-to-face meetings needed per week and per month necessary to be successful.

  • The candidate is expected to coordinate and execute sales calls to potential customers through prospecting, cold callings, and referrals from current customers. There is an expectation of exceeding weekly/monthly/yearly minimums as it pertains to the volume of calls and duration of calls necessary to be successful.

  • Identify new prospects and provide excellent customer service, driving revenue through the sales of ticket and donation offerings.

  • Effectively use Salesforce CRM to accurately record all client and prospect interactions.

  • Participate in and contribute to weekly sales meetings and training sessions with leadership.

  • Work in conjunction with team members to promote and generate sales to all ticketed events while providing a great fan experience.

  • Entertain and nurture relationships with current donors and season ticket holders through creative means including but not limited to networking events, speaking engagements, prospect sampling at games, seat visits at games, open houses at the stadium/arena, and outside meetings.

  • Must be willing to work non-traditional hours, weekends, events, and game days. Assist with any special projects or duties as assigned by leadership.

WHAT YOU BRING (QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE)

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.

  • 2-3+ years of sales experience is preferred, with a proven ability to sell suites/premium products at a high level.

  • Experience selling 5 and 6 figure ticketing and donations deals is preferred.

  • Proven ability to drive additional purchases and upselling from existing donors and ticket holders is preferred.

  • Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills

  • Maintain a professional image and positive attitude.

  • Serve as a main point of contact for general athletic ticket inquiries that come in through inbound phone calls, email, and social media.

  • Set and conduct in-stadium, arena and out-of-the-office sales appointments.

  • Effectively use Salesforce CRM to maintain accurate records of all client and prospect interactions.

  • Reach and exceed individual and team sales revenue goals.

  • Assist with managing and stewarding existing season ticket members and donors.

  • Prospect and cultivate new sales leads through creative lead generation methods, as well as follow up on leads provided by partner organizations.

  • Ability to handle a heavy volume of outbound and inbound phone calls and emails.

  • Candidates should possess excellent time management and organizational skills.

  • Candidate should possess an optimistic team-first attitude, as well as a competitive desire to be the best.

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and effectively influence and communicate with C-level clients.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Role requires regular on-site presence to support project launch, client partnership, team leadership, and venue-related activity.

COMPENSATION
