Data Center Manager | Level 3| Full Time TS/SCI with Polygraph)

Leidos | Cyber & Analytics Business Area | Key Management & Analytics

Your Experience. Your Schedule. A Global Mission.

Mission impact doesn't have to mean a full-time schedule.

Behind every mission is infrastructure that simply cannot fail. Leidos is looking for an experienced Data Center Manager to join our Cyber & Analytics Business Area, Key Management & Analytics Division and keep that infrastructure running at the highest level in support of critical national-security missions.

You'll be the person who makes sure the Stonerainbow (SR) Data Centers are secure, organized, and always ready. Working side by side with the Installations and Logistics Office, IT Operations, customers, and support staff, you'll shape how power, space, cooling, cabling, and racks come together to keep mission-essential systems up and running.

And you'll do it on your terms. Work with the program to build a flexible, part-time schedule that fits your availability while still delivering real mission impact.

If you have deep data center management experience and want to continue doing work that matters, we'd like to talk.

What You'll Do

As a Level 3 Data Center Manager, you'll own the support, maintenance, performance, and uptime of the Stonerainbow (SR) Data Centers. From access control and property accountability to equipment installations and removals, power, space, and cooling oversight, and the daily operations that tie it all together, you'll set the standard for how the facility runs.

You'll:

  • Advise the Installations and Logistics Office of power, space, and cooling requirements and/or concerns.
  • Manage physical access to Stonerainbow (SR)'s data centers and to the racks in the data centers.
  • Liaise with the data centers' customers/users and support staff.
  • Plan and schedule work to be performed in the Data Center during Monday through Friday business hours on a weekly basis.
  • Plan and schedule work to be performed in the Data Center during non-business hours on a weekly basis.
  • Design and manage the cable infrastructure and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Design and manage rack layouts and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Follow Stonerainbow (SR) Data Center procedures and processes and, with Government approval, establish new and/or modify existing procedures and processes for efficiency.
  • Manage the Data Centers' Service Level Agreements.
  • Refer customer requests for system health/status monitoring to IT Operations.
  • Track the completion of all service and access requested for the Data Center.
  • Provide equipment accountability and coordination of Data Center equipment installations/removal.
  • Provide Data Center weekly status reports to the Contractor Program Manager and government representatives.
  • Ensure all Data Center security and escort policies are followed.

Your expertise will keep the data centers secure, compliant, and ready for whatever the mission demands.

What You'll Bring

This role requires an experienced data center professional with a strong background in managing large IT computer rooms, including room access, equipment installation planning and scheduling, equipment accountability, and facility coordination.

Basic Qualifications

  • Ten (10) years of experience, of which a desired three (3) years within the Intelligence Community, managing the daily activities of large IT computer rooms, such as managing room access, planning and scheduling equipment installation and facility work, and accountability of equipment being installed or removed.
  • Experience documenting room floor layouts and rack elevations, and maintaining the accuracy of all documentation and databases.
  • Must currently possess a Data Center Technology Professional certification or any such equivalent certificate as approved by the COR-T. Certification must be obtained prior to being accepted on the contract.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Data Center Technology Professional certification is preferred.

Program Requirement: This position requires ten (10) years of experience in accordance with the program's established Data Center Manager Level 3 labor-category requirements.

Why This Opportunity?

The data centers you'll manage are far more than rooms full of racks; they house the mission-critical capabilities our partners depend on every day.

When a data center runs well, everything that depends on it runs well. Disciplined access control, clean cable and rack management, and precise equipment accountability help put the right capabilities in the hands of mission teams exactly when and where they need them.

Within Leidos' Cyber & Analytics Business Area, Key Management & Analytics Division, you'll work alongside professionals supporting sophisticated national-security capabilities in areas including Security Engineering, Computer Network Operations (CNO), Mission Software, Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), Cryptographic Key Management, and systems integration.

Your data center expertise helps make their mission possible.

Meaningful Work. Greater Flexibility.

This opportunity is different by design.

You've spent a career building valuable expertise. Here's a chance to keep putting it to work behind an important mission, with more control over your work week.

As a part-time employee, you'll work with the program to create a schedule that fits your availability and mission requirements, so you can stay engaged in meaningful work without committing to a traditional full-time schedule.

At Leidos, you'll also remain connected to a broad community of technical and mission professionals, with access to professional-development resources and the breadth of opportunities across the company.

Eligible employees have access to competitive benefits and professional development resources. Benefits and eligibility may vary based on part-time status and scheduled hours.
