Leidos is an American technology and engineering services company created in 2013 when Science Applications International Corporation split in two, with Leidos taking the technical services and solutions business. It is one of the largest suppliers to the United States government, working across defence programmes, intelligence systems, civil agencies including the Federal Aviation Administration, and healthcare services for the Department of Veterans Affairs. Headquartered in Reston, Virginia, the company also builds security detection products for airports and borders, and has concentrated recent investment on trusted artificial intelligence and autonomy for mission environments.

Leidos is seeking an experienced Program Business Analyst to support large information technology programs for our Utility Technologies Solutions team. In this role, you will provide program and project management support across a portfolio of IT projects supporting electric utility operations, technology modernization, and evolving grid initiatives for our utility client. You will help ensure projects remain organized, on track, and aligned with established governance and delivery standards while adhering to Leidos' Mission, Vision, and Values.

The Program Business Analyst will support a Senior Program Manager/Portfolio Manager across a portfolio of utility IT projects, with a focus on project governance, document control, portfolio planning, reporting, and operational coordination. This role will work closely with Project Managers, IT Managers, Project Controllers, Schedulers, EPMO, and other business and technical stakeholders to help ensure projects meet established requirements and remain on track throughout the project lifecycle. The role will support stage-gate activities, maintain project and program documentation, coordinate portfolio information, assist with long-range planning, and help improve program processes and controls.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working across multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Location: This position is based in South Plainfield, New Jersey, and requires onsite work three days per week, Tuesday through Thursday. Qualified candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance and be able to work onsite on these days.

Salary: This position pays a salary in the range of $90,000 to $110,000 annually.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day program management and business analysis support to the Senior Program Manager/Portfolio Manager across multiple active projects and workstreams.
  • Coordinate and review EPMO stage-gate scorecards, project artifacts, and supporting documentation to ensure requirements are complete and projects are prepared for formal review and approval.
  • Identify missing or incomplete stage-gate requirements, communicate findings to project teams, and track outstanding items through resolution.
  • Partner with Project Managers, IT Managers, Project Controllers, Schedulers, and other stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are completed, approved, organized, and maintained in the appropriate repositories.
  • Gather, organize, validate, and summarize project and portfolio data to support program leadership with planning, prioritization, reporting, and management reviews.
  • Develop and maintain program-level trackers, status reports, presentations, meeting materials, action items, decisions, risks, issues, dependencies, and other management information.
  • Support EPMO and program process-improvement initiatives by reviewing existing processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and assisting with the development and implementation of more efficient processes and procedures.
  • Establish, maintain, and continuously improve document-control processes and procedures for program and project documentation.
  • Create and maintain SharePoint sites, document libraries, folder structures, permissions, and project records in accordance with established standards.
  • Ensure required project documentation is complete, accurate, appropriately approved, and stored in the designated repository.
  • Serve as a point of contact for project documentation inquiries, requests, SharePoint access, and document retrieval.
  • Support project gates, audits, regulatory activities, and other governance requirements by gathering, organizing, reviewing, and tracking required documentation.
  • Coordinate document requests associated with internal audits and work with project teams to ensure requested records are provided accurately and on schedule.
  • Support SOWs, Change Requests, T&M resource requests, and related procurement activities, including initiating and tracking requests in ServiceNow and maintaining executed documentation.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding project resources, including required documentation, system and network access, equipment, and other client processes.
  • Coordinate and track system access requests, including SAP and other required applications, and assist with follow-up and escalation when necessary.
  • Track client-issued assets and coordinate equipment issuance and return as resources join or leave projects.
  • Proactively monitor resource access and other time-sensitive requirements and coordinate with appropriate stakeholders to prevent interruptions.
  • Coordinate project and program meetings, prepare meeting notes, document decisions and action items, and follow up with responsible stakeholders.
  • Maintain confidentiality and appropriate handling of sensitive project, financial, contractual, employee, and client information.
  • Provide additional project, program, and business analysis support as needed.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Management, Business Administration or another related field required with 4+ years of project support experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in business analysis, program/project support, PMO/EPMO support, project controls, document control, or a related function, with experience supporting multiple projects or workstreams.
  • Experience supporting project governance processes, project documentation, deliverable tracking, and management reporting.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with project teams and management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, identify required follow-up, and drive assigned activities to completion.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Experience supporting utility, energy, infrastructure, or other regulated-industry projects.
