In addition, we collaborate with over 200 franchise partners worldwide. These Lely Centers are responsible for the sales and service of our solutions. We are looking for a Technical Service Specialist for our Lely Cluster in Australia and New Zealand.

Lely is a global leader in robotic solutions for the dairy industry. Through innovative systems such as the Lely Astronaut automatic milking system, Lely continues to shape the future of farming by improving efficiency, animal welfare, and farm sustainability.

We are seeking a professional and highly capable Technical Services Support person to strengthen our regional support structure and ensure technical excellence across our Lely Centre network. This role plays a critical part in maintaining high service standards, supporting technicians, and driving continuous improvement in system performance.

The Role

As Technical Services Support, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing advanced technical support and to Lely Centres and field technicians
  • Assisting with installation, commissioning, and optimisation of Lely robotic systems
  • Diagnosing and resolving complex mechanical, electrical, and software issues
  • Supporting system start-ups and performance optimisation on farm
  • Coaching and mentoring technicians to build service capability and consistency
  • Auditing installations to ensure compliance with Lely standards and specifications
  • Delivering structured feedback on system performance and improvement opportunities
  • Contributing to service planning and continuous improvement initiatives

This is a dynamic role requiring strong technical competence, sound judgement, and a solutions-driven mindset.

You are an experienced dairy or agricultural technician who understands the day-to-day realities of dairy farming and has hands-on experience working with milking systems or automation technology. You are now looking to take the next step in your career supporting a wider network, tackling more complex technical challenges, and contributing to innovation in dairy automation.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic capability
  • Experience with automation, robotics, or agricultural equipment (highly regarded)
  • A structured and methodical approach to troubleshooting

  • Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to train and guide others
