This role acts as the primary operational and analytical interface between corporate treasury, commercial business units, banking partners, and insurance brokerages. The analyst will ensure timely issuance, risk mitigation, cost control, and full compliance for all bilateral off-balance sheet credit instruments supporting large-scale commercial contracts, project finance, and regulatory requirements.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end management of the lifecycle for Standby Letters of Credit (SBLCs), Bank Guarantees, and Surety Bonds (bid, performance, payment, and maintenance bonds).
  • Draft, review, and negotiate text for SBLCs and surety wordings to ensure terms align with corporate standards and mitigate legal or financial exposure.
  • Coordinate directly with commercial lenders and surety brokers to facilitate the issuance, amendment, renewal, and cancellation of instruments.
  • Monitor credit line utilization across credit facilities and surety programs to optimize capacity and ensure proper allocation of collateral or capital.
  • Analyze and benchmark pricing structures, including issuance fees, commitment fees, and utilization margins, to minimize total cost of capital.
  • Prepare monthly treasury reports detailing total exposures, upcoming expirations, facility headroom, and counterparty concentration risks.
  • Evaluate the creditworthiness of issuing and confirming banks to maintain compliance with corporate counterparty risk policies.
  • Collaborate with internal operational, legal and risk management departments to manage claims, reductions, or defaults effectively.
  • Review underlying commercial contracts to determine specific trade finance and security requirements, providing expert guidance to internal teams.
  • Maintain trade finance dashboards and software modules, ensuring real-time accuracy of records and tracking systems.
  • Drive operational efficiency by supporting initiatives to transition paper-based workflows into digital and electronic trade solutions.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for relationship banks and surety brokers, conducting regular performance and fee audits.
  • Support audit activities by gathering documentation, validating controls, and assisting with remediation efforts.
  • Support system implementations, testing activities, upgrades, and technology enhancements affecting treasury operations.
  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred.
  • One to three years of corporate treasury, corporate banking experience, or homebuilding industry operations.
  • Experience with treasury management systems (TMS) or digital trade platforms is highly preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • Experience with workflow automation, reporting tools, and business process improvement initiatives preferred.
  • Experience with data governance, operational controls, and compliance processes preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Exceptional negotiation skills and detail-oriented risk evaluation.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and critical thinking skills.
  • Advanced data analysis and reporting capabilities.
  • Ability to develop, maintain, and interpret large operational datasets.
  • Knowledge of process governance, internal controls, and risk management principles.
  • Strong diligence and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to innovative technologies, systems, and business processes.

Physical Requirements:

This is primarily a sedentary office position requiring extended computer use, the ability to communicate effectively, and the ability to operate standard office equipment. Occasional lifting or movement of materials weighing up to twenty-five pounds may be required.
