What Drives Success

Under general supervision, sets-up and operate equipment in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Obtain and maintain powered industrial truck (PIT) license to operate both ride on and stand on lift trucks
• Must operate a lift truck in a safe and professional manner.
• Maintain a TEAM-like disposition at all times and be willing to work efficiently with coworkers or independently as required.
• Must be able to establish priorities and transition from one task to another smoothly and efficiently.

• Load and unload trailers and flatbed trucks by hand and with a forklift as needed.
• Prepare paperwork such as bills of lading, put away sheets, inbound/outbound truck forms, and no pack slip forms.

• Perform inbound shipment verification:
• Verify correct part numbers and quantities
• Check for damaged product

• Put inventory away neatly and in designated locations.
• When required, demonstrate proper warehousing techniques to transport material received from receiving dock to the appropriate warehouse locations, maintaining FIFO cadence.
• Secure trailers as necessary, ensuring all safety devices are in place and functional.
• Review production order kitting dispatch, pull parts per kitting demands, and restock kitting/kanban areas as needed.
• Breaks down material as needed for applicable departments.
• Maintain acceptable level of scrap performance.
• Properly disposes of corrugate at all times.
• Work inside and outside as required during all seasons.

• Maintain tidiness by performing housekeeping functions that include sweeping, dusting and wiping down receiving equipment.

• Flexibility to work flexible hours with little or no advanced notice.
• Must be willing and able to train others.

• Other duties as assigned by the department.

What We Are Looking For

POSITION SUMMARY: This position will perform customary Maintenance functions in support of the Materials, assembly, and Maintenance Department.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Previous experience as a material handler or forklift driver preferred. (Previous experience will be verified with a supervised driving test.)
• Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to efficiently use or learn to efficiently use current computer systems such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook and SAP.
• Basic mathematical skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing large numbers without a calculator.
• Must pass a computer based USDOT HAZMAT for signers or non-signers training when administered.
• No active written or final discipline on file.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to bend, stoop, twist and reach in all directions frequently and without difficulty.
• Must be able to lift 40 pound packages to storage racks without assistance.
• Must be able to push and pull heavy loads using a pallet jack.
• Must be able to work and walk at a brisk pace for extended periods of time.

What We Offer

Compensation: This is an hourly non-exempt role. The starting pay range for this role and market is between $17.00 /hour. Factors that may affect starting pay include geography/market, and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible to earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).
