We are looking for a skilled PostgreSQL DBA to manage, optimise, and scale our database systems. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in performance tuning, high availability, and database maintenance for production environments.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain PostgreSQL databases in production.
  • Perform performance tuning and query optimisation.
  • Implement and manage replication and high availability (HA) setups.
  • Handle backup and recovery (PITR, disaster recovery).
  • Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Optimise indexes, queries, and database configurations.
  • Work with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
  • Ensure database security, access control, and data integrity.


Requirements:

  • Strong experience with PostgreSQL (DBA role).
  • Expertise in performance tuning and query optimisation.
  • Hands-on with replication, HA, and failover.
  • Experience with backup and recovery strategies (PITR).
  • Knowledge of indexing, partitioning, and vacuuming.
  • Experience with AWS RDS / Aurora/cloud DBs.
  • Good understanding of Linux systems.
