Job Description:
Lead Technology That Moves Our Business Forward
At Les Schwab Tire Centers, technology plays a critical role in how we serve our customers, support our stores, and grow our business. We're looking for an experienced Principal Enterprise Technology Program Manager to lead some of our most complex and impactful technology initiatives.
This is a highly visible, senior-level individual contributor role for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology, business operations, and execution. You'll partner with executive leadership, influence cross-functional teams, and drive large-scale programs that directly impact how we operate across our growing network of retail locations.
Your first major initiative will be Route 52, a $50M+ enterprise point-of-sale (POS) transformation spanning approximately 600 Les Schwab stores. You'll lead the next phase of deployment, establish operational discipline, strengthen vendor accountability, and ensure successful implementation and adoption across our business.
And the opportunity doesn't end there. Following Route 52, you'll continue leading major enterprise technology programs, helping shape the future of technology and operational excellence at Les Schwab.
We're looking for a leader who brings both strategic vision and a hands-on approach-someone who can navigate complexity, make data-driven decisions, build trust, and deliver results.
What You'll Do
Lead Enterprise Technology Programs
- Own the strategy, planning, execution, and successful delivery of large-scale enterprise technology initiatives.
- Lead complex, multimillion-dollar programs from implementation through stabilization and business adoption.
- Partner with executive leadership to align program priorities, resources, timelines, and business outcomes.
- Identify risks, resolve obstacles, and make informed decisions to keep programs moving forward.
Drive Deployment Excellence
- Establish and manage deployment strategies, operational readiness criteria, and performance metrics across distributed business locations.
- Lead cross-functional teams through implementation, training, go-live, and post-launch stabilization.
- Use data and operational insights to determine deployment readiness, manage rollout pace, and continuously improve execution.
- Ensure technology solutions meet business needs while minimizing disruption to store operations and customer experience.
Influence and Align Stakeholders
- Serve as a trusted partner to senior executives, business leaders, and technical teams.
- Build alignment across Information & Digital Services, Retail Operations, Finance, Training, Analytics, and other business functions.
- Communicate program progress, risks, and recommendations clearly to executive stakeholders and steering committees.
- Lead through influence, establishing accountability and driving decisions across teams without direct reporting relationships.
Manage Strategic Vendors and Partners
- Oversee major technology vendors, implementation partners, and consulting relationships.
- Establish clear expectations for deliverables, service levels, timelines, and quality.
- Monitor vendor performance, address challenges proactively, and drive corrective actions when needed.
- Ensure external partners are accountable for delivering measurable business results.
Build Momentum and Drive Continuous Improvement
- Bring structure, clarity, and forward momentum to complex or evolving programs.
- Strengthen collaboration, accountability, and confidence across program teams.
- Develop scalable governance, reporting, and deployment practices that support future enterprise initiatives.
- Champion continuous improvement and organizational readiness throughout technology transformations.
What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience leading complex enterprise technology programs, implementations, or large-scale deployments.
- Demonstrated success managing multimillion-dollar technology initiatives involving multiple business functions, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Experience leading technology deployments across multiple locations, business units, or geographically distributed operations.
- Proven ability to manage complex programs through implementation, go-live, stabilization, and successful business adoption.
- Strong executive communication skills, including experience presenting to and influencing senior leadership.
- Demonstrated expertise in vendor management, performance accountability, risk mitigation, and program governance.
- Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on problem-solving and execution.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving results without direct reporting authority.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading large-scale POS, ERP, retail technology, or enterprise systems implementations.
- Background in multi-location retail, distribution, supply chain, or other operationally complex environments.
- Experience managing enterprise programs with budgets of $50M+ or deployments spanning hundreds of locations.
- Demonstrated success stabilizing, recovering, or accelerating complex technology implementations.
- Experience working with systems integrators, software providers, hardware deployment partners, and consulting firms.
- Background in enterprise transformation consulting or leading large-scale technology programs within a complex organization.
What Success Looks Like
In your first several months, you'll establish strong relationships with executive stakeholders and program teams, build a clear understanding of our technology landscape, and take ownership of the next phase of Route 52.
You'll establish transparent performance measures, strengthen vendor and cross-functional accountability, and lead a disciplined deployment approach that balances speed, quality, operational readiness, and customer experience.
Longer term, you'll play a key role in delivering enterprise technology initiatives that strengthen our operations, support our stores, and position Les Schwab for continued growth.
Why Les Schwab?

This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact across a large, established retail organization while helping shape the technology that supports our future.
You'll have the opportunity to:
- Lead high-impact, enterprise-wide technology initiatives.
- Work closely with executive leadership and business decision-makers.
- Influence how technology is implemented across hundreds of retail locations.
- Take ownership of meaningful, complex challenges with visible business impact.
- Build a long-term career leading enterprise technology transformation.
