Role Description
The Presales Executive is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai. This person will be the domain and product expert in live deals and will report to the Presales Manager.
The role is measured on one number: proof of concept win rate, backed by the demos delivered, RFP sections turned around on time and a sales team that wants this person on every call.
The Executive will run the demos, build the proofs of concept and clear the technical objections that stand between an interested evaluator and a signed contract. This includes working alongside Account Executives and channel partners, and presenting to litigators, in-house counsel, tax professionals, and IT and InfoSec teams.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Running segment-tailored demonstrations alongside Account Executives for enterprises, law firms, tax teams and government
- Showing evaluators their own workflows rather than a feature tour
- Building proof-of-concept corpora and sandbox setups so evaluators test on material that matters to them
- Guiding each evaluation to a clear decision
- Answering integration, API, SSO, data security and DPDP questions with confidence
- Drafting the technical sections of RFPs and tenders, and delivering them on time
- Providing technical sales support to Account Executives and partners, with a sharp focus on live opportunities
- Capturing and logging product feedback from every evaluation so the Product team hears what the market is saying
Qualifications
- 4 to 6 years of experience in presales or solution engineering for a SaaS product, or 3 to 5 years as a practising advocate or CA who has moved into a product specialist role
- Ability to run legal research and tax research workflows credibly in front of expert users
- Working knowledge of integrations, single sign-on, and data security
- Clear, precise technical writing, whether for an RFP response or a security questionnaire
- Patience with stakeholders and the calm to handle tough questions in a live demo
- A graduate degree in any discipline
Good to Have
- Experience demoing LLM or RAG-based research products
- Practice experience in law or tax. We especially welcome advocates and Chartered Accountants who have moved into product roles
