Description

Owns Electronic State Reporting (ESR) compliance and the broader regulatory reporting portfolio for NADC Product Operations, including state platform transitions, office closures, and vendor and compliance relationships tied to state reporting requirements. Operates with minimal oversight, exercising independent judgment on day-to-day prioritization, issue resolution, and stakeholder management within this domain, while remaining accountable to the Product Operations Manager for outcomes. Represents the team directly in vendor, industry, and cross-functional technology conversations related to regulatory reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Owns end-to-end compliance with Electronic State Reporting requirements, including monitoring state-level acceptance results, investigating trends and anomalies, and driving issues to resolution.
  • Leads state reporting platform transitions and version changes, managing testing, validation, and go-live readiness across affected states.
  • Manages the office closure process end to end, coordinating across compliance, technology, and trading partner systems to ensure accurate and timely reporting through each transition.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for vendor and regulatory reporting relationships, representing the team in vendor calls, industry forums, and cross-functional planning sessions.
  • Partners with technology teams to prioritize and sequence the regulatory reporting backlog against business risk and compliance impact.
  • Builds and maintains subject matter expertise in state reporting requirements and jurisdictional variation, staying current through vendor engagement, industry forums, and ongoing training.
  • Develops and maintains tools to track compliance status, issue backlogs, and transition progress across states.
  • Communicates regulatory reporting status, risks, and recommendations clearly and proactively to leadership and cross-functional partners.
  • Supports other team priorities and projects as capacity allows.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Workers' Compensation or Payments & Forms processes.
  • Familiarity with state reporting methodologies, requirements, and jurisdictional variation.
  • Comfort learning and applying workflow and reporting platforms to manage tracking and compliance visibility.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise judgment, and escalate proactively when needed.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to represent the team credibly to external vendors and stakeholders.
  • Ability to think strategically about compliance risk and business impact, not just task completion.
  • Team-oriented mindset with willingness to flex into adjacent work when priorities shift.
