How you’ll contribute

A Supply Chain Director who excels in this role:

• Directs departmental activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
• Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the organization's clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements and objectives.
• Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technology, service-level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
• Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orientation, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
• Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets and ensures that the department operates within allocated funding.
• Coordinates and directs internal and external audits.
• Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
• Ensures that the department remains focused on its important role in the continuum of care and maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Manages the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling, and reviewing work, to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Oversees the hiring, termination, training, and development of staff, as well as performance evaluations and the administration of corrective actions.
• Serves internal coworkers and external customers, clients, patients, contractors, and vendors.
• Accesses and works with sensitive and confidential information, as required. Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements, including HIPAA.
• Applies policies and procedures effectively and demonstrates knowledge of business office standards and recommended practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What we’re looking for

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred; Applicable work experience may be used in lieu of education.

Skills:

• Business Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals across all units of measure. Ability to calculate rates, ratios, and percentages, as well as create and interpret graphs.
• Moderate Computer Skills - Frequently uses email, word processing, data entry, spreadsheets, graphics, and other computer applications. Ability to create, maintain, and incorporate basic functions into documents, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations to support business objectives.
• Complex Communication - Frequently communicates complex information and interacts with management. Ability to present information, address and resolve sensitive situations, and motivate and persuade others.
• Varied Business Problems - Addresses varied and complex problems requiring analysis and interpretation of the situation. Resolves problems using knowledge and skills, established precedents, and standard practices.
• Department-Specific Decision-Making - Makes decisions that impact departmental management and operations. May contribute to business and operational decisions affecting the department.
• Functional Independent Judgment - Establishes goals and priorities for the functional area. May recommend departmental policies, practices, and programs. Makes decisions and resolves problems on behalf of others, as appropriate.
• Project Planning and Organization - Manages multiple projects simultaneously, including task delegation, project oversight, and resource allocation.
