Linesight is a global construction consultancy, founded in Ireland and headquartered in Dublin, that provides cost management, project and programme management, scheduling, commercial and procurement services to owners and developers. Founded in 1974, it works in data centers, life sciences, high-tech industrial, commercial, healthcare, energy and infrastructure projects through offices across Europe, North America, Asia Pacific and the Middle East. It hires project managers and MEP project managers for data center builds, commercial and contracts managers, commissioning and QA/QC managers, document controllers and finance staff in Dublin, Kuala Lumpur, Frankfurt and other markets.

Overview

Linesight is seeking an experienced Energy Project Manager to lead data centre energy and power infrastructure projects across multiple regions within EMEA. This role will manage permanent and temporary power enablement projects, utility coordination, permitting, power due diligence, and stakeholder engagement activities to support large-scale data centre development programmes.

You will work closely with client teams, developers, utility providers, consultants, contractors, and government authorities to drive projects from initial site assessment through to power readiness and operational handover.

The Opportunity

In this role you will:

  • Manage large-scale energy and power infrastructure projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Partner with acquisition teams to support site selection and act as the Energy Team representative throughout the due diligence process.
  • Support clients in securing grid connection agreements with relevant TSOs, DSOs, utility providers, or private network operators across assigned EMEA regions.
  • Manage end-to-end utility connection and energy agreements, maintaining contract records and acting as the primary point of contact for contract-related matters.
  • Monitor project progress, risks, quality, safety, and key milestones, ensuring effective reporting and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, utility providers, and authorities to manage project interfaces and stakeholder engagement.
  • Lead permitting, utility coordination, and power infrastructure activities required to support project delivery.
  • Support commissioning and handover activities, ensuring documentation and deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Act as a visible leader on site, promoting safe working practices and ensuring compliance with project procedures.
  • Lead project meetings, communicate progress and risks, and drive timely decision-making across stakeholders.
  • Review proposed variations, delays, and contractor claims, providing appropriate commercial and project oversight.
  • Ensure robust project governance, documentation, data integrity, and compliance with client processes and standards.

We would love to hear from you if you:

  • Have proven project or programme management experience delivering complex energy, utility, infrastructure, or data centre projects.
  • Hold a degree in Project Management, Engineering, Energy Management, Construction, or a related discipline, or have equivalent experience.
  • Hold (or are working towards) a professional certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or APM.
  • Have experience working with TSOs, DSOs, utility providers, energy suppliers, or grid operators.
  • Possess a strong understanding of power generation, transmission, distribution, and utility infrastructure.
  • Have experience managing utility connections, energy contracts, permitting, or technical due diligence activities.
  • Are commercially aware, with experience managing budgets, contracts, risks, and project reporting.
  • Are detail-oriented, quality-focused, and an excellent communicator both verbally and in writing.
  • Thrive in a collaborative, client-focused environment and enjoy building strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Have experience supporting data centre, critical infrastructure, industrial, or renewable energy projects (advantageous).

All interviews are conducted either in person or virtually with video required.
